Cyprus Open Championship 2025

The Cyprus Chess Federation announces the “Cyprus Open Chess Championship 2025” to be held from January 31st to February 23rd, 2025, with the Swiss 9-round system. The championship will be open and all chess players who hold a KY.S.O Athlete Card (Category A or B) for 2025 will have the right to participate.
The championship is held for the declaration of the 1st Winner of the Cyprus Open Championship 2025 and the selection of the chess players who will take part in the Cyprus Closed Chess Championship 2025 as well as for the evaluation of the chess players (FIDE ELO and Cyprus ELO).

Also the best chess players with a KY.S.O. Category A Athlete Card in the following categories will be considered Pancyprian Champions in their respective categories for the year 2025:

• Under 20
• Under 20 Girls
• Over 50
• Over 50 Women
• Over 65
• Over 65 Women
