Cyprus Youth Chess Championship 2025

The Cyprus Chess Federation announces the Cyprus Youth Chess Championship 2025 to be held at POED Building in Nicosia, from 10 to 26 January 2025, with the ”Swiss System” 7 rounds and with a time of 90 minutes + 30 seconds of time increase for each move from the beginning of the game.

Participation in the championship is open to all youth chess players (born from 2007 onwards) with the basic condition to have a KΥSO ID, Category A or B, for the year 2025.

Categories

• Under 8 years old (2017) Open and Girls
• Under 10 years (2015-2016) Open and Girls
• Under 12 years (2013-2014) Open and Girls
• Under 14 years (2011-2012) Open and Girls
• Under 16 years (2009-2010) Open and Girls
• Under 18 years (2007-2008) Open and Girls

If a category, Open or girls’ category has less than 6 chess players, it will be merged.
